Chartreuse 1605 was first created in 2005 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the handing over of the Elixir de Longue vie manuscript by Marshal d'Estrées to the Chartreux de Vauvert

The family began making wine at the beginning of the 19th century and Bruno represents the sixth generation of winegrowers.
