Overall, metabolic changes appear to have a strong correlation with central carbon metabolism in cancer. In terms of metabolic pathways, significant impacts are observed on the pentose phosphate pathway, steroid hormone biosynthesis, arachidonic acid metabolism, linoleic acid metabolism, and the biosynthesis of valine, leucine, and isoleucine. Notable effects are also evident on the PPAR signaling pathway, the intestinal immune network for IgA production, and the serotonergic synapse. In the group comparisons, MAFLD rats exhibited enriched expression in the pentose phosphate pathway, steroid hormone biosynthesis, arachidonic acid metabolism, and linoleic acid metabolism relative to the control group rats
