I still enjoy opening the app a couple of times per day and seeing what I open

Its an unfortunate piece of game design, though I cant immediate see what Hudson Soft couldve done to fix it other than give you a better deck out of the gate and / or implement consolation prizes, as this is arguably an issue with the TCG itself

Instant speed graveyard hate is reasonably brutal to this spell, so maybe Languish is safer for Commander

In all situations, this is a playable spell

Assuming you can keep it alive with a lucky hexproof counter or something like a Darksteel Plate , Crystalline Giant is a really interesting card
