Mystic Forge and things like Helm of Awakening already give you access to almost infinite storm count and card draw, which paired with your commander gives you some faster and additional card draw

Outside of Goblin Chainwhirler synergies (or other similar "combos"), I don't think Plaguecrafter's Familiar is good enough, but it could be extremely strong in the right shell
