The only major downside of having the artifact lands banned is that having a card like Seat of the Synod or Vault of Whispers in the format might finally make Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas into a real deck, but unbanning the lands would make Affinity so much more powerful that it probably wouldn't really matter anyway
