Herz Des Menschen (The Heart of Man), Heavily Worn 1848 Pennsylvania German Devotional with Amazing Engravings and Many Mends antique box toy in this 1/6th plate daguerreotypeI discovered the existence of Herz Des Menschen (The Heart of Man) a few months ago and its engravings completely blew me away. Now another copy, this one 1848, with the added character of a series of cellophane tape mends, long sense yellowed. I personally love the effect, heightening the drama of its contents all the more.
