Italian Salesman Sample Hiking Boots, A Pair Reilly & Lee oz book and both looking very muchI found these in Vermont, which seems as likely a place as anywhere to find a pair of salesman sample hiking boots! A faint stamp on the sole of one indicates they were made in Italy which also makes sense, as who makes better shoes, or boots, than the Italians! The level of craftsmanship on these is pretty outstanding, down to the metal clinkers tricounis around the soles, distinguishing them as mountain boots, c. 1930s 40s I believe. Each approx 3 7
