I've found one similar set online (selling for $1500 for a set of 6) purchased in Venice in the 1960s
4 7/8" t x 4 1/8" diameter of lip
but the red darned square on this small 1878 schoolgirl sewing sampler is as precise as any I've ever seen--the stitches are teeny teeny teeny tiny
It has definitely seen some use--the wood is well worn and it is missing a few bristles at the head and along one side
C. 1900 Homemade Cyanotype Stereoview: Spanish Bullfight swivel lid I don't believe the fourthI love a rich blue cyanotype, even better two side by side, and though indeed brutal, there is also something very balletic about a bullfight perhaps even more so absent the bull. I find the ring of light cast across the lower portion of each photo here very lovely, framing the arena of action, and the angled rake of each photo too, as if following the path of the rider as he heads toward the center. Very clear, enough to see a man in white climbing
