I am not certain the date of this painting but would guess mid-to-late 19th century

I really love the work of Jean Arp

Endless hours of fun and wisdom to be gleaned for sure

though it would also make a good serving bowl or catch-all

The faces remind me of the work of Howard Finster I think it's the noses turning into eye brows, specifically and especially that of this red headed man, who looks to me super warm and kindly. But as the woman is gifted with moveable arms attached by tiny nails at her shoulders and allowing her to throw them up in the air perhaps he is at
