19th Century Inlaid Mahogany Drop Front Stationary Box, c.1880. The Library patented in 1877A lovely late 19th century inlaid mahogany drop front stationary box, c. 1880. The exterior has wonderful parquetry detailing to the doors, with a parquetry border to each side of the box. The top lifts to open the drop front, revealing a green leather writing slope with a gilt border, two inlaid drawers, a pen try, two ink well holders, and five stationary holders (four smaller, one large). The pen tray lifts to reveal a small compartment beneath.
