Mallard Duck, Old Birdlover's Watercolor primitive carved horse with one tiny paint scuff

with one tiny paint scuff on one side and a couple of very tiny chips to the inside of the lip

and thought it good to have a George near at hand

of peasant and peasant atmospheres relived with ingenuity and sincere passion

which shows some wear around the edges but I think suits it perfectly

The pot has been used and shows some staining to the interior (it could probably be scrubbed some more than I have done) but the exterior is in excellent condition

Mallard Duck, Old Birdlover's Watercolor primitive carved horse with one tiny paint scuffA few more this week from a larger set of wonderful old naive watercolors birds, done by someone long ago who clearly loved their birds. With carefully handwritten in capital letters attributions on each that I think makes them extra good. I have to think the Mallard held a special place in the heart of the maker, given a watery background with tree, and painterly grass underfoot, that distinguishes it a bit from the others. Lovely. 6 1 8" x 4 1 2"
