I suppose it was for lack of crate or barrel that he turned to a suitcase perhaps spotting an orchard while on the road and having nothing else at hand. (I like to imagine clothes strewn about in the trunk of his car after emptying the case in order to fill it with this bounty!) He looks a bit like Jimmy Fallon to me too. 2 1 2" x
