just amazed by the fineness of their incised decoration

I love all of the rows of old nails holding it together at the corners and joining the interior separators to the exterior--such a warm and to my eye super satisfying thing

It was arranged and pressed just right and has  endured remarkably well

The face is in very good condition

but it remains in good condition with many years of use still in it

Colored Pencil and Pastel Folk Art Drawing with Eagle to the Rescue! asian chop just amazed by the finenessI was drawn to the drama of this one, which I take for an allegory of sorts, with what I take as an eagle (though could be a hawk?) coming to the rescue of the dove that has been tethered by a fox (or coyote?) An American eagle as the savior might be a bit much, so I'm glad it's more broadly archetypal here, and certainly it is the dove that captures my empathy, very sweetly done, especially with head pointed forward as pdf looking toward its future
