Finely Dressed Young Woman at Piano, c. 1840s Folk Art Portrait in Original Burl Maple Frame turned handle brush I had forgotten how muchHappily a lovely local shop owner friend messaged me when this lovely came in to her shop, knowing I would like it, and indeed I very much do. C. 1840s, mixed media on paper, rendered in a combination of graphite, charcoal, watercolor and pastels I believe, in gorgeous original period burl maple frame. I don't know much about the history of pianos, but believe the one here is a c. 1830s upright cabinet piano (often towering things, extending up to 7
