but occasionally I find one that I can 't pass by

with a great dark dry wood patina to his face

Proud and Soulful Inuit Carved Soapstone Owl fort morgan and I really love herI love how proud this Inuit carved soapstone owl seems, especially in profile, with chest puffed out as if standing (or perching) steadfast, not to be moved. Soulful as well as stoic though, as an owl is; quite a nice presence to have in proximity. 4" t x 1 7 8"" w x 1 1 2" d and in very good condition. Unsigned, c. 1970s or so I'd guess.
