I have seen another example of her work that was almost an exact copy of this piece

with terrific banded pattern around the sides created through a wax resist technique

) The wood is in great condition

I especially like the form of this one

Super Folky Wooden Cutout Black Dog carved egg pendant I have seen another exampleNo way could I resist this puppy just my sort of awkward, and very empathetic. A really good face I think, especially his snout, and a little wood left unpainted at the center of his eyes to perfect effect. 8 1 8" t x 6 7 8" w and in good condition. There is a little roughness along the edge of the left ear; it doesn't look to me like any wood lost, just a little loss of the black paint.
