This is the largest of the salvaged drawings and I think my favorite of all

I keep thinking that if we could see to the figure connected to the hand at left

as they are used to “pick up” the others

I've only found a couple of example of full scale carved stone keystones of a related ilk to this one

Soft Landscape with Trees and Ruins, Antique Oil on Linen Painting apple shaped and the tiny rose budsNot a great masterpiece, but there is a very lovely softness and atmospheric ness (and an Arts & Crafts sort of feeling, too) about this oil on linen painting, which kept me returning to it when recently roaming around an antique shop in Maine, and compelled me to walk out the door with it! Quite serene, but I think one could also read a certain drama or implied narrative, with these green trees rising up from old brick ruins, like symbols of rebirth
