This is a Schedule 80 fitting, but will work fine with schedule 40 pipe as well. Schedule 80 fittings are just a little thicker and stronger than Schedule 40 fittings. Fittings only work with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC pipe, not other types of pipe like acrylic. Diameters listed indicate what size pipe they work with. For use with standard PVC Cement.
