SOLD Delicately Carved and Painted Perched Quail by Maine Carver L.W Slevans trumpeter One is headless(I havent found out much about the L. W Stevans who signed this quail, just a couple of other examples of his workbut what a lovely little quail I think this is, so delicately carved and carefully painted and feeling as if just come upon in the woods. Gold brass wire extending from the legs was pierced through the wooden base to make it stand completely sturdy and stable.
