Titled and dated 1985 verso. Howe was an artist and amateur lepidopterist with a bachelor's degree in biology. He is known for his detailed illustrations of butterflies and moths. His notable works include 'Our Butterflies and Moths' (1964) and 'The Butterflies of North America' (1975). This original
