and there is certainly wear to the tunic though it remains pretty well intact--I rather love it more for the wear

I do think it was made very much in the tradition of antique carved folk art dolls

and would make a striking one

Lovely Pair of Antique Indigo Calico Quilt Blocks 1918 and there is certainly wearJust too pretty not to bring home old indigo calicos do it for me every time, and lovely here pieced together with squares of old shirting fabric to form checkerboards. Perhaps nice to have the two together to use somehow (a pretty little pillow they would make) so I'm selling as a pair. Personally I'd be very happy just pinning them to wall and looking at them. The one with blue stripes just a bit longer than the other, 13 1 4" long and 12 5 8" long
