Slight "DM" initials scratched into the winding plate. Correct original smooth brass foot is 2. 7" long. No line grooves. Erinoid handle spins but is stiff the screw is tight so I didn't force it. There is a slight amount of spindle play. Reel weighs 7. 6 oz. This is a very nice fishing reel if you can get the handle off to clean inside.
