hand-hewn piece of wood with carved teeth at one end--and definitely it was used as there is residue caught between the teeth

The upper body of the figure is attached to a steel post which sticks through a hole at the center of the legs

There are small chips to polychrome here and there

And one could read a whole lot of things into that expression. A lovely, quiet drawing, nice for an intimate space. 12" x 9". Early 20th century I believe. Good antique condition, with some light scattered smudging, I don't think at all detracting.
