This giant whimsy feels more like a piece of architecture than a carving
There are small tears to the 7 of clubs and 9 of spades as pictured and light fold lines on a few others
and which I'd definitely think of more as a sculpture than a vase
I'm thinking it is a wolf--though not far off in visage to wild boars and also bears in the Black Forest manner--and inexplicably more finally carved on one side than the other (which I suppose could mean it represents two different creatures
